Milton Eyecare is a proudly independent, family owned optometry practice centrally located on the fringe of the CBD, in Brisbane’s inner-west suburb of Milton. Formerly known as Kel Cameron Optometrist, we have been committed to providing quality eye care to the Brisbane community for over 30 years.

Our practice has a strong focus on providing exceptional clinical care across a wide scope of optometry services from comprehensive family eyecare to more advanced optometry services including myopia control such as orthokeratology, complex contact lens fitting for keratoconus and other conditions, as well as advanced dry eye therapies. We are also passionate about beautiful eyewear and frame styling. Our friendly and experienced team would be all too delighted to assist with making sure you truly love your newest eyewear.

Kylie McNeill | Principal Optometrist & Advanced Contact Lens Practitioner

BAppSc(Optom)(Hons) GradCertOcTher FBCLA CASA-CO

Kylie graduated in 2009 as an Optometrist with first class honours and was the recipient of the Optometry Australia Clinical Excellence Award. She is a therapeutically endorsed optometrist enabling her to prescribe eye medications, and as a CASA credentialed optometrist has extended qualifications to conduct pilot eye examinations.

Kylie is also a lecturer at QUT in contact lens studies, as well as an accoladed clinical supervisor in the QUT Optometry Clinic – having been twice recognised with QUT Vice Chancellor Performance Awards. She was inducted as a Fellow of the British Contact Lens Association in 2016, has undertaken an observership within the contact lens service at the esteemed Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and is on the CCLSA Queensland State Committee.

Whilst Kylie may be highly credentialed as an optometrist, it is her compassionate nature, thorough and meticulous manner, as well as the genuine care and time she takes to clearly explain all examination results that make her so highly regarded by both her patients and peers alike.

Kylie enjoys the scope of optometry services she is able to offer working in private practice, providing general and family eyecare including children’s eye examinations, diagnosing and monitoring a multitude of eye diseases using advanced instrumentation and technology, and thrives on the challenge of being involved in the treatment of more complex optometry cases. She also loves to share her enthusiasm and clinical insights in optometry as an invited speaker at local and national professional optometry events, and is involved with teaching the optometry students as a lecturer and clinical supervisor at QUT.

Kylie has a strong interest and advanced skillset in specialty contact lens fitting for keratoconus, corneal transplants, myopia control including orthokeratology overnight contact lenses, as well as for therapeutic cases such as severe dry eye and post-operative eye complications. She regularly accepts referrals from and works collaboratively with local Brisbane ophthalmologists to design custom contact lens solutions to visually rehabilitate patients with these conditions.
